The Mycobacterium Bovis FPA Antibody Test Kit uses Fluorescence Polarization technology to determine the presence of antibodies to M. bovis in bovine serum. The presence of antibodies is indicative of prior infection with M. bovis.

 

Designed specifically for use in herd screening or for slaughterhouse surveillance where large number of animals need to be evaluated, it is intended for use with high throughput plate instruments. The test should not be run using single-well instruments.

 

The test includes a Confirmatory Assay Procedure for use once Presumed Positive animals have been identified.

 

With rapid detection, Sensitivity equivalent to existing test methods, and Specificity (99+%) unequalled by any other method, the M-bovis FPA test is an unrivalled addition to the arsenal of test methods used to protect the food chain.

 

The test is available in kits of 1,000 tests (Catalog No. 91005), 3,000 tests Catalog No. 91010), or 10,000 tests (Catalog No. 91015).

 

This test has not yet been approved by the USDA or other regulatory or governmental authorities. It is under review in many countries around the world. It is available for research evaluation only and is not yet available for sale
